    Wal Mart v. Craigslist

WalmartI just read a story that Wal Mart is launching a new online advertising service that’s free:  www.walmart.com.  The "classifieds" section can be found in the left hand column as you scroll down.  It allows Realtors and consumers to promote their homes for sale at no charge.

The WalMart classified section - competing with the likes of www.Craigslist.org - is teaming up with www.Oodle.com to pull in house listings.  As I scrolled through, it looks like other sources of housing are foreclosures, for sale by owners, the daily classifieds, and more.

You can also find boats, 4-wheelers, freezers, sofas, chairs, and hair removal systems at this site.  It will be interesting to see if it grows in popularity like Craigslist has - it’s the first time I’d heard of it, although the article stated it estimates 29.3 unique users per month where Craiglist has 30.3 million.
