I began my search this morning looking for some photo badness and let me just say - it’s addictive! I’m like a kid in a candy store, I tell you. Next week we’ll search for the truly GREAT MLS photos again, but this week - with today being the "sign of the snowman" 080808 - we’re going for laughs.]
The Outside
Where to begin? The date stamp tells me the photographer (probably the home owner) loved this unfocused photo. It does have a mystical fairie feel, but I want to emphasize that blur is not art and even if it was, art doesn’t sell your home. Good curb appeal, correct price, and cleanliness will go much farther in your effort to sell.
The flower pots on the (bottom) roof line just made me giggle. Trash cans to the left of me, tricycles to the right, here I am - stuck in the middle with you.
Is this neighborhood so bad that you had to do a drive-by (picture) shoot? This was the *only* picture posted for this listing and it screams that the someone was 1.) too lazy to get out of the car, 2.) too incompetent to get out of the car.
There is nothing wrong with this photo. Very nicely framed, good feel for the house. However, other MLS photos show a different house. (Stroll SCROLL down) (ha).
Same MLS listing, different house? You be the judge.
The Inside
Is this a birdfeeder or a second toilet paper roll? (PS - Put the seat down.)
Suggetion: Store the Lubriderm lotion under the counter and close the shower curtain all the way. (PS -Put the seat down!)
Again, nothing wrong with the photo except it’s so busy I can’t find the kitchen. Sellers really should make a major effort to declutter before they put their home on the market.
Different kitchen, same problem.
If you’re going to go to the expense of fancying up your ceiling, then please also upgrade your light fixture to something more than … oh I don’t know … THE cheapest one available.
If you have a home that screams 1970’s decor, don’t make it your primary photo on the MLS.
And finally, another good picture, but I don’t understand the butterflies. Is it a message to the house? Your love is like a butterfly. If you love someone, set them free. If they return, they (and the butterfly) truly loved you.
Have a great weekend!
