The Goosebump Factor rarely fails me. It’s so goofy and unmeasurable, yet it works. When I work with a buyer and I get goosebumps, I know it’s the right house for them. After a full day of looking at homes last week, we were both feeling low and discouraged at the absolute cr*p people try to sell disguised as a house. I tried to be optimistic, though, and counseled that she just hadn’t found it yet and we were getting close because we’d eliminated a dozen already.
Today our luck was much better. We found three homes that were gorgeous. And in the last one, I got goosebumps. So Aunt B. is thinking about which house to pick this evening and talking it over with her brother and friends. She says she’s going to post about her choices, so you’ll have to go back to her site often to read her thoughts. But here are the three favs (one you’ve already seen):
Choice #1 feels like home when you walk in with beautiful hardwood, perfect paint, and big yard:
Choice #2 fantastic remodel, but a little further from work and with gas prices, definitely need to think about:
Choice #3 beautiful but really far from work:
Which will she choose? Stay tuned!
UPDATE: Aunt B. is coming down from the initial excitement of finding some really decent places to choose from and looking at cold hard facts. This is a good, important process to go through rather than immediately writing a contract and regretting it later.
