Oh boyeeee… did I miss a big day! I think probably because my office has focused a lot on recycling lately (in fact, I’m in charge of hauling away office recyclables this month) that Earth Day completely slipped by. I formally pronounce this as EARTH WEEK so I can show you some great homes built from recycled materials.

Dan Phillips, the builder behind the geniusly simplistic plan, believes that communities are wrong when they describe $130,000 as "affordable"; instead he believes $20,000 – $50,000 is affordable. When I bought my first home 20′ish years ago, we paid $88,500 and thought we spent a fortune! In just two decades, a home priced at $90,000 in my general area would be considered squalid living conditions.
