I loved Connie Conehead and her parents Beldar and Prymaat.  According to Wiki, "The Coneheads were an alien family, natives of the planet Remulak, who found themselves stranded on Earth. When questioned by Earth neighbors as to their strange behavior, they inevitably replied that they were ‘from Remula(c), a small town in France‘."

Mary from Across the Pond brings us a breathtaking fixer-upper from France.  Her description of the village where her brother lives is so charming,

I would love a little house near my only sibling……near the incredible outdoor food markets…….the brocantes and antiques markets…….next to the olive groves and vineyards.
