    Always a Good Reminder: Safety

Working on a blog post earlier about how for once I’m an undecided voter which most assuredly NEVER happens, I found a post by a real estate blogger in British Columbia titled, "Personal Safety - Complacency Can Kill."  Although we’ve talked about Realtor safety before, it’s any time is always a good time to remind agents about how to be cautious especially since Tim Ayres is sharing his tips because of an agent killed yesterday.  The agent had paged him that same day to set up a showing on one of his listings.

With the news on the front page of the Victoria Times Colonist this morning about the murder of 24-year-old Lindsay Buziak while showing a house, I’m sure we’re all thinking about our own experiences with clients that just didn’t feel right. Remember, if in doubt, get out.

Go read his safety tips and again remember, IF IN DOUBT, GET OUT.

Our sympathies also to the agents in Victoria, British Columbia and Lindsay’s family and friends.
