As any regular reader might guess, you are about to get a history lesson!  On this day in 1904, the third modern Olympic Games opened in St. Louis, Missouri.  Other exciting events occurred on this day (e.g., the U.S. Bureau of Printing & Engraving opened), but since Missouri is the state in which I was born and because it gives me a great conversation starter in that it has a town named Knobnoster (the very town in which I was born), let’s go for a visit!

This beauty is a townhome in downtown St. Louis.  Offered at $399,000, it has a little more than 1500 square feet, two bedrooms and two and a half baths.  But get a look at this view!

I’ve always wanted to road trip to see a game at all 30 Major League Stadiums. A few weeks ago, I did a quick jaunt from here to St. Louis, from there to Cincinnati and back. Just to see what it costs, over a couple of days. I’d like to try to do this in the next couple of years. Before I get all married or covered up with childrens. With a million dollars, I think I could do this, and do it comfortably. Even fly a place or two, if I didn’t want to have to drive all the heck up to Seattle….
