My good friend Ivy (see Love Shak, Baby and Shakyard) found it terribly amusing that my "Wordless" Wednesday posts are usually gigantic gab-fests. I just can’t help myself – I am a real estate agent, afterall! So I’m changing my Wordless Wednesday posts to Wordy Wednesday. I’d like to continue to feature homes from across the U.S. – nay from across the world!
I went to the doc today for mostly good news and as I waited in the exam room … la de da da ho hum … I found myself drawn to a book about weird facts and trivia. Right there in the doctor’s office, I learned the origination of the word PODUNK. According to Wiki, Podunk has come to denote something, usually a place, of small size and is often used in a context of dismissing significance or importance. Apparently the real Podunk is located in Massachusetts, but there are also Podunks in Connecticut, New York, Vermont, Oklahoma, and Michigan. For our Wordy Wednesday, we’re going to look at this home in Podunk, Michigan. Enjoy!
For a smooth $229,000, you can buy a 3 Bed, 2.5 Bath home with 1,540 Sq. Ft. Only the city shows up as "Manchester" and not "Podunk" even when I searched for Podunk listings. I’m so disappointed. No one proudly waves their Podunk Flag.
O.M.G. I lurve that window seat and built-ins!
And while I’m being wordy, check out this house in New York. Dog. That’s cool.
