    Great Places to Live

I’ve never been to Bellingham, Washington but once knew a financial investor who relocated her family and company to the great Northwest.  She swore the air was clean and invigorating there, and now the proof is in the pudding!  Whatcom County got an "A" from the American Lung Association for air quality, according to Agent Eisenberg.

So I wondered about other faboo places to live, so stumbled on Kiplinger report on smart places to live.  Lo and behold, my own hometown of Nashvegas was number one.  Barren County, Kentucky scores the number one spot as the best rural place in America, Got Cows? reported.  Or go directly to the source and create your own "best place" rating extravaganza at Progressive Farmer.  It’s a shame that some of us working stiffs have to hit the pavement each day. But there’s hope in 10-Low-Cost Locales where Jobs Are Plentiful (this is starting to sound like an Oh Brother! song).

My pal Ivy asked why people live where they live over at Curbly.com and she got plenty of answers.  If money was no object, where would you go?  I’d pick Estes Park, Colorado (or another Rocky Mountain area) for my summer home, then somewhere in the Bahamas for my winter abode.

This is a really neat post. I like the idea and will have to do some combing to see where my favorite cities rank.

Thanks for submitting to the Consumer-Focused Carnival of Real Estate.
